Salt Spray Test Chamber
The salt spray test chamber is reliability testing equipment for simulating corrosive environments. It is mainly used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of electroplating and anti-corrosion coatings on NdFeB magnets. It artificially creates a high-salt fog corrosive environment to accelerate verification of coating protection performance. It serves as key test equipment for finished magnet reliability validation, incoming quality inspection and coating process evaluation.
Working Principle
Standard sodium chloride brine solution is prepared inside the equipment and pressurized for atomization within the sealed chamber to form a uniformly dispersed salt fog atmosphere. Electroplated magnet samples are placed inside the cabinet. The test runs continuously under set constant temperature and spray duration to simulate corrosive conditions such as marine and humid saline-alkali environments. After the test, the sample surface is inspected for rust, peeling, blistering and corrosion spots to evaluate the anti-corrosion grade and quality of electroplated coatings.
Main Applications
Test corrosion resistance duration of various coatings on NdFeB magnets including zinc plating, Ni-Cu-Ni, epoxy and electrophoretic coating to verify compliance of electroplating processes.
Compare rust resistance of different coating schemes and manufacturing processes, providing test data to optimize surface treatment procedures.
Conduct incoming sampling inspection and pre-shipment reliability verification for finished products to meet customer acceptance requirements on corrosion resistance specifications.
Perform multiple standard corrosion tests such as neutral salt spray, acid salt spray and copper-accelerated salt spray to conform to various industry reliability specifications.
Detect hidden coating defects such as pinholes, missing plating and insufficient adhesion to avoid later rust failure risks during product service.
Core Equipment Advantages
Precisely controllable temperature, humidity and spray volume with uniform salt fog precipitation inside the chamber. Good test repeatability and authoritative test results.
Supports switching between multiple salt spray test modes and customizable test duration to satisfy customer requirements for different anti-corrosion grades.
Fully sealed corrosion-resistant cabinet structure, resistant to brine erosion and leakage. Resists rust and aging for longer service life under long-term operation.
Built-in multi-protection functions for water shortage, over-temperature and overload. Safe and stable automatic operation without on-duty operators.
Intuitive and simple control panel with easy parameter setting and real-time test status visualization. New operators can master it quickly.
Test procedures comply with national and general industry standards. Test reports are available for customer factory audits and product certification filing.
