Double-End Surface Grinder
This double-end surface grinder is core dedicated equipment for planar precision machining of NdFeB block and wafer magnets. It grinds both top and bottom end faces of workpieces simultaneously in one pass.
During processing, workpieces are fed at constant speed through the gap between grinding wheels. The two side wheels cut synchronously to correct parallelism and thickness dimension on both ends of magnets in a single run. It removes burrs, steps and uneven tool marks generated from cutting, ensuring highly unified thickness tolerance across the whole batch.
Grinding feed parameters are optimized for the brittle characteristic of NdFeB material to effectively reduce chipping and corner loss defects. With automatic continuous feeding, it delivers high productivity and superior processing consistency. Serving as the key flattening process after magnet slicing and before chamfering & electroplating, it provides flat and qualified semi-finished products for subsequent assembly and surface treatment.
